martin walch, starsky, alien productions: TRANSFORMATOR | DVD, 2009 Transformator: a space = a playing field = a matrix. When visitors enter the field they immediately kick off a game. Sensors track down the their movements and translate them into commands for image- and sound-producing machines. The whole space changes depending on the number and directions of the people who are "part of the game". Transformator: ein Raum = ein Spielfeld = ein Schaltplan. Das Feld kann betreten und dadurch bespielt werden. Sensoren "beobachten" die BesucherInnen und "übersetzen" deren Bewegungen für Klang- und Bildprojektionsmaschinen. Der Raum verändert sich verschieden, abhängig von Anzahl und Richtungen der Menschen "im Spiel". alien productions: Alien City | DVD, 2003 Created by the artists of alien productions, Alien City is a perfectly virtual metropolis in cyberspace. Building on the material taken from the two-day event in the "Dom im Berg" in Graz during the musikprotokoll 01, the artists have brought forth another manifestation, this time for the DVD format. Alien City ist eine durch und durch virtuelle Stadt im Cyberspace, kreiert von alien productions. Beruhend auf dem Material der zweitägigen Realisation von Alien City im "Dom im Berg" in Graz im Rahmen des musikprotokolls 01 gestalteten die KünstlerInnen eine weitere Manifestation, diesmal für das Medium DVD.
