The "Pfänder" tunnel is part of the main autobahn route north from Bregenz in the direction of Germany. The 7 km tunnel is controlled by a number of video cameras which are switched for display on 4 monitors in a surveillance room outside the south end of the tunnel. For "TUNNEL VISION" the surveillance system was connected to the local cable network and the images on the surveillance room monitors were simultaneously displayed on the 4 monitors in the Café Neptune, a popular café/bar in central Bregenz.
