Musical Furniture for the Bonsai Garden Orchestra
The Bonsai Garden Orchestra
is an ukulele-laden austro-hawaiian all-star orchestra founded and directed by Wolfgang Temmel.
Their first CD was presented in a couple of live performances in Styria in August 2008.
Wolfgang asked me for a sound scape to be played at low volume in the concert hall before the beginning of the concerts. So I borrowed an electric guitar and a bottleneck and processed the sound through the analog filters and delays of my modded Korg DW-8000.
The piece is just a sound tapestry featuring ocean waves (courtesy Andrea Sodomka) and hawaiian landscape sounds (found on freesound.org).
Enjoy it sitting on a deckchair and have a piña colada...
